Khan Toke Dinner

Relax in an informal atmosphere while dining on delicious northern Thai cuisine called "Khan Toke". Tuck in and eat to your hearts content. During the meal, a traditional northern musical ensemble will play soothing music while charming dancers will entertain you with the fingernail dance, candle dance, sword dance and ramwong dance. If you get the urge, join in the ramwong dance....it is great. After that, there will be a fireworks display. Then, a selection of hilltribe dances performed by the Akha, Yao, Lisu and Karen tribes rounds up this entertaining evening. (Loose, informal attire is recommended as you will be sitting down on the floor).

Experience on elephant riding and bamboo rafting

A pleasant scenic trip to the north of Chiangmai. Amidst lush tropical jungle beside a meandering river, watch elephants take their daily bath. ( OK guys, blow your trumpet and clean those nostrils ). A show of how these magnificent animals are used in the timber industry.…pushing, dragging and rolling logs in unison at the command of their mahouts. And here comes the best part…"ride em cowboy" time. Its now time for an exciting 1 hour elephant ride over the hills and into the lush jungle. Youve got to "swing with the sway" as you rumble and thrash along…and hang on tight folks. ( Elephants are very sure-footed animals ). Then experience a 15 minutes ox-cart ride back to the camp. ( This form of transportation is probably similar to what your ancestors An An Travel in, in the middle ages ). A picnic lunch is provided under the cool jungle shade. After lunch, enjoy a 1 hour "Huckleberry Finn" bamboo rafting trip on the placid Mae Taeng river. Glide along in a summer dream. Visit an Orchid Nursery Farm filled with exotic orchid blooms. A superb butterfly collection is also available for your perusal at a Butterfly Farm. Return to Chiangmai.

Day 1 : 14:00 - 22:00

Experience 5 Hill tribe Trek (Palong)
Tour Itinerary : 8:00 hrs : Leave from hotel by local truck via Mae Tang and visit Mae Malai local market the colorful and exotic local market. This is where the local people and the various hill tribe meet and trade their goods, mostly fruits, vegetables and flowers. Continue to Chiang Dao and Prow district.
10:00 hrs : Spend whole morning trekking for 1 hour to visit Lahu hill tribe village Bann Pathong and continue trek 2-3 hrs to Karen hill tribe village at Bann Phalai.
12:00 hrs : Relax and explore about their life. Lunch box will be provided at village.
13:30 hrs : Continue by foot for 20 minutes to Lisu Hill tribe village and trek to Akha hill tribe village at Bann Pang Dang 15 mins and 1 hour to visit Palong hill tribe village Pang Dang.
16:00 hrs : Get truck from here back to Chiang Mai.
17:30 hrs : Arrive Chiang Mai, transfer to hotel.

Doi Inthanon National Park, Waterfall & Hilltribe Village Tour
Tour Itinerary :

• 8:30 hrs: Lying south of Chiang Mai, the granite mass of Doi Inthanon, at 8,500 feet above sea level, is the highest mountain in the country. Doi Inthanon is the tail of Himalaya mountain range. Designated as a national park, the moist natural environment is a paradise for birds as it has almost 400 species, animals, flowers and fauna.
• 10:00 hrs: After a final steep climb, the summit is surprisingly flat though misty, cool and breezy. Visit the pagodas built in honor of their Majesties the King and Queen. The magnificent chedi completed in 1989 to honor the 60th birthday of King Bhumipol. A visitors center contains information in Thai and English. A small chedi above the visitors center contains the remains of Chao Inthawichayanon the last independent ruler of Chiangmai, who died in 1897, after which the Kingdom of Lanna was incorporated into Siam.
• 12:00 hrs: Lunch will provide at restaurant
• 13:00 hrs: Enjoy the cool cascading waters of Mae Klang or Vachiratharn waterfalls. Visit a Karen hill tribe village at Baan Sop Had.
• 15:30 hrs: Transfer back to hotel.
